    This text was written following the three 1966 judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Communities (CJEC) (Société Technique et Minière v. Maschinenbau Ulm and others), which established the Community competition regime based on former Article 85 of the Treaty. Its value lies in its extensive bibliography, its annotated analysis of the EEC regulations implementing Articles 85 and 86, and its discussion of the procedure for anti-competitive agreements. However, it is quite striking that the derogations from the application of Article 85, found in former Articles 90-1 and 90-2 of the Treaty, are not analyzed at all. In this respect, it is also representative of the thinking on competition law in the 1960s.
