    The Dalloz alphabetical index has had three periods: it was first published from 1828; it was then revised in 1870 and had supplements until around 1897. It was completely rewritten in a 1900 edition which was itself renewed in 1910. It is of course an essential testimony of the state of the law before the First World War and remains, even today, a reference.
