A reproduction of the complete proceedings of the famous 1849 trial concerning the June 1848 uprising organized by the clubs under the leadership of Blanqui, Barbès, and Raspail. This trial, held before a special High Court convened in Bourges, is a compelling example of the political justice of the Second Republic, which condemned Barbès to deportation. The proceedings are rendered in an exceptionally vivid manner. A rare text.
