Édition :
    Paris
Date :
    1912
in-8, green half-calf, raised bands on the spine, gilt title, (spine faded, damage to approx. 10 leaves of the table of contents slightly affecting the text), a fine copy despite the aforementioned defects, X-615 p.
Sueur (p. 262) emphasizes that, despite its publication date, this volume remains the definitive work on the subject. As mentioned, it complements the history of political and administrative institutions published up to 1903, which covers the period extending to the 16th century. As usual, the bibliography is extremely comprehensive, and one should also highlight the captivating monographs on some of the leading administrative figures of the absolute monarchy period, particularly the intendants.
