It is astonishing how little of Jellinek's work has been translated into French. The volumes we present here are the only ones that make the essence of his doctrine accessible, since they contain, respectively, the translation of the *allgemeine Staatslehre*, the *allgemeine Soziallehre des Staates*, and the *allgemeine Staatsrechtslehre*, published by Jellinek in 1900 under the title *Das Recht des modernen Staates*. It should be noted that the first part had already been translated by Fardis in 1904 under the title *Introduction à la doctrine de l'État*. It should be noted that Jellinek indicates in his “preface to the French edition” the modifications he himself made to the German edition (in particular by removing certain German-Greek controversies but by referencing all the French works devoted to the subject), which makes this text an edition of particular interest that goes beyond mere translation. Obviously fundamental and unavailable.
