This collection comprises three lecture notes. The first two, taught by Suzanne Bastid in 1949 and 1950 under the title "Law of Nations," contain, respectively, a general theory of international disputes and their resolution (including fundamental discussions on the political and jurisdictional processes for settling these disputes), and a history of international law, a description of international society, and an explanation of the legal status of states within that society. It is worth noting that this is one of the author's earliest works (her first lecture note on this subject dates from 1948). The third lecture note, by Charles Rousseau, is an exceptional monograph on the Monroe Doctrine, which the author never included in her published works. A fundamental collection.
