In this respect, the constant interplay between the medieval or revolutionary organization of labor and the 1941 \"Labor Charter\" constitutes a most interesting analysis. In our view, it is the most explicit text—while remaining scholarly—on the labor system conceived by Vichy. It is regrettably absent from bibliographies of the period.
