Besides the Capitant Festschrift published the same year, a number of tributes were paid to the memory of this great author. We have already presented the one paid by the University of Tokyo on December 21, 1937 (MDD cat. no. 15-207); here we have the very rare founding document of the Henri Capitant Association for French Legal Culture, of which this text constitutes the proceedings of the first congress. In addition to a series of speeches justifying the association, this collection contains some remarkable texts: first, a discussion on agreements concerning future inheritances with contributions from D. Esmein and J. de la Morandière; and a second discussion on judicial termination of contracts with a lengthy presentation by René Cassin and contributions from Mazeaud, Hamel, and Rouast. Very rare.
