    The latest work by this author, whose unconventional thinking cannot be underestimated, presents striking philosophical and religious passages in this introductory course on law. On the other hand, it also makes significant conceptual advances (particularly regarding the distinction between prescriptive and punitive law, which demonstrates the existence of an administrative penal system). Several developments also deserve highlighting for their modernity, such as the confrontation between the notion of self-interest and the notion of justice, or the discussion of the concept of imputability. It is worth noting that what the author means by "science of duty" is, in reality, the study of legal systems conceived as prescribing duties.
