    An excellent text for the study of international economic law, in which the author first provides a very comprehensive overview of the history of French commercial policy, particularly in the 19th century. He then presents all the trade treaties signed by France, some of which mark the beginning of colonial initiatives (see, for example, the trade agreement concluded on November 26, 1862, with the Tuareg chiefs, p. 407, the treaties with China, and with the States of Muscat concluded in Zanzibar on November 17, 1844). It also includes a general table of exchange regulations, lists of currencies and their respective exchange rates, as well as the duties levied on each commodity. Overall, a considerable source of documentation.
