    The author is known for his two major collective dictionaries, the General Dictionary of Politics and the Dictionary of French Administration. This general dictionary of political and social matters, which he compiled entirely on his own, is of exceptional quality. Several magnificent and important entries for the political science of the period should be highlighted: political equilibrium, laws, parties… On a more topical note, the entry on secret funds, which even then challenged their existence and maintenance, should be emphasized. An important text.
