DICTIONARY OF LAW AND PRACTICE containing explanations of legal terms, ordinances, customs and practices within the jurisdictions of France
Édition :
    Paris

    2 vols. in-4.
Second and final edition published during the author's lifetime. The first legal work written in the form of an alphabetical dictionary in the spirit of the Encyclopedia. A highly modern text that was continuously reprinted until the beginning of the 19th century. The author also demonstrates a great sense of humor (see, for example, the entry "city where one enjoys true happiness (...) all this means that in these cities there is no need for books on jurisprudence and practice; but fortunately for those who are responsible for selling these kinds of works, the cities we are talking about are too few to cause any harm or diminish their sales") (Camus no. 57).
