folio, mottled blond calf, spine with 6 raised bands richly decorated, title page in burgundy morocco, red edges, blind-tooled fillets framing the boards and rolls on the edges, red and black title page, some initial letters and tailpieces, a fine copy except for some stains and very slight rubbing on the boards, very slight losses to the lower edges and some foxing, 3 leaves-396 - 384 pages-34 leaves-XXV pages.
A magnificent copy of the most important commentary on this custom (Pithou's commentary is actually misleadingly referred to by that author's name), covering the entirety of Champagne law, including that of fairs (certain local customs added to the Custom of Paris also deal with fairs and markets). Rare.
