    A reissue of the famous pamphlet followed the crisis of February 6, 1934, with a preface by Paul Morand in which he lays out his political position, wavering between reaction and fascism. Jouvenel's sharp wit and biting criticism of parliamentary practices, as well as those of other professions (see the particularly harsh passages on the judiciary), are well known. He is also one of the originators of the expression "the Fourth Estate" to refer to the media.
