It is, in fact, a definitive critical edition of the famous work by Gratian, the founder of 12th-century canon law. Gratian's Decretum compiled 4,000 earlier canons, aiming to establish a comprehensive body of canon law, reconciling, where necessary, the incompatible provisions of these various texts. Berardi adopts this structure but undertakes a critical examination of the sources (see Schulte III, p. 524). The article devoted to him in the Catholic Encyclopedia indicates that he is one of the major authors on this subject.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Mémoire du Droit","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51962510410075,"sku":"8950","price":152.45,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"url":"https:\/\/www.memoiredudroit.fr\/en\/products\/8950-berardi-gratiani-canones-genuini-ab-1","provider":"La Mémoire du Droit","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
