Émile Loubet's presidency was notably marked by the resolution of the Dreyfus Affair, the establishment of the Entente Cordiale, and the passage of the law separating Church and State. The book is particularly valuable because it describes the inner workings of the Élysée Palace at a time when the powers of the President of the Republic were considerably limited. It sheds extremely interesting light on the role of the President, who plays a crucial and significantly greater role in foreign policy than the Prime Minister. In domestic politics, although the presidential function is noticeably more subdued, the book nevertheless describes a scenario in which President Loubet refused to allow his Prime Minister to sign a decree, thus showing that even on a legal level the subduing of the presidential function should not be exaggerated.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Mémoire du Droit","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51962487669083,"sku":"8437","price":53.36,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"url":"https:\/\/www.memoiredudroit.fr\/en\/products\/8437-combarieu-sept-ans-a-l-1","provider":"La Mémoire du Droit","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
