    It appears that this renowned directory was published anonymously before the date of the present edition (the BNF holds a single title page bound with the text of this edition), but it is likely that this 4th edition actually contains the original text of this fundamental collection of registration law, which continued to be reprinted well into the 20th century. Beyond its tax law aspects, its primary interest lies, of course, in the significant attention it devotes to analyses of civil law.
