    This volume of P.'s posthumous works contains, in particular, the important treatise "On Persons and Things." Special emphasis should be placed on the passages concerning private international law and nationality, which have not often been noted, and on the reflection on the comparative powers of "persons and communities," which is a reflection on the origins of legal personality in ancient law. "The bodies and communities established according to the Laws of the Kingdom are considered in the State as taking the place of Persons... These bodies are intellectual beings."
