quarto, brown calfskin, spine with 4 raised bands decorated, marbled edges, (heavy abrasions on the entire binding, small losses on the boards and lower corners, some foxing, lower and upper joints of the second board very slightly split), 238 p.-7 ff.
Here we have the original edition of a work that closely followed the publication of the 1667 ordinance, in which the King's Council, ruling on appeals against the judgments of the Parliaments, provided the interpretations that were to be followed by the civil ordinance. But this collection is also interesting insofar as it allows us to see the beginnings of the technique of the grounds for appeal, these grounds being reproduced in each of the judgments. Furthermore, while the judgments of the King's Council of the time are not reasoned, an abstract provides, for each one, the meaning and scope of the judgment with regard to the interpretation of the ordinance. Rare.
