    This work, devoted to the legal prerogatives of bishops—particularly concerning cathedral chapters—was written by the vicar of Chartres Cathedral and clearly intended to defend the prerogatives of the Bishop of Chartres against his own chapter. Dupin (no. 1855) points out that the system presented by the author contradicts that of Jacques Boileau.
