    A fine set of late 18th-century provincial prints bound together. But of course, it is Letrosne's important work that constitutes the essential piece of this collection. This magistrate, a friend of Pothier, whose reflections form a work of comparable importance to that of Beccaria, particularly on questions relating to the abolition of torture and the principles of legality of punishment (see especially p. 100 ff.).
