    It should be noted that the earlier edition did not include the treatise on synods. It is, however, present in this copy. Here we have two texts on canon law, the first devoted to the method of choosing bishops and holders of benefices, the second to the legal status of diocesan synods and the decisions made therein. This is a very rare text (it is missing from the Bibliothèque nationale de France, and there is no mention of it in the National Canon Law Library except for a microform prepared by the Vatican Library for the Berkeley Library).
