8 vols. in-12, paperback (temporary binding), uncut, printed on laid paper, (faded books, missing spine, soiled covers, paper sometimes acidified with pitting and foxing), interior very fresh despite the aforementioned defects, 2216 p. [continuous pagination].
    D. Gaurier, in his new scholarly French translation of the Corpus Juris Civilis (La Mémoire du Droit, 2024, vol. VII, p. 2), indicates that "Bérenger generally made far fewer translation errors than his two predecessors [Hulot and Berthelot], and we tend to agree with him, especially since, sometimes, just as we do, the translator preferred to follow the Latin text verbatim." This edition appears not to exist in any of the public libraries usually consulted (it is missing from the Cujas Library and the BNF) and is complete with all 127 Novellas. VERY RARE.
