From 1805 to 1861, no fewer than eight eminent jurists undertook the republication of Pothier's works. Begun by Bernardi & Hutteau (1805), it was Siffrein's turn to offer his own commentary—which is among the most substantial in terms of the number of volumes. Next came Dupin (1823), Rogron & Firbach (1826), and Fenet (1826). Bugnet, in 1861, produced the final 19th-century edition of Pothier's works. Our edition is unique in that it contains all of Pothier's works except for the Pandects. Copy without the table of contents. Dupin, ref. 1453.
