An unsurpassed reference work, both for the depth of its theoretical analysis of builders' responsibilities and for the vast amount of case law it contains. Far from limiting itself to the study of ten-year liability, the author analyzes all regimes of contractual and post-contractual liability, as well as, of course, the issue of acceptance of contractual services. Franck Moderne is particularly credited with the subtle distinction between contractual liability for reservations and liability for perfect completion. He also provides a particularly thorough study of those liable for damages. More broadly, however, this work demonstrates how, behind the analysis of a technical legal framework, a profound reflection on the law of obligations in administrative matters can emerge. From a certain perspective, this work can be considered Volume III of the Treatise on Administrative Contracts. The subject of post-contractual liability is, in fact, only partially explored in that latter work.
