    We have here a truly exceptional collection. On the one hand, the commentaries were written by prestigious authors such as Odilon Barrot, Vatimesnil, and Ymbert; on the other hand, the articles were selected by such evocative names as Portalis, Tripier, Boissy d'Anglas, Cormenin, Merlin, and Crémieux. It is also exceptional because this collection has become virtually impossible to find: incomplete at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF), only two university libraries in France hold a copy, and while the Library of Congress has one, it is missing from Berkeley, Brand van Zyl, and many other libraries.
