(Dupin no. 945). One of the major works of 17th-century French legal doctrine, it was constantly reprinted until the Revolution. J.-L. Thireau (La doctrine juridique, PUF, 1993) cites this text, placing it alongside Lamoignon's decrees and Fleury's Institution au droit. The work is particularly interesting for its extensive section on the law of obligations, which constitutes one of the key sources on the subject before Pothier's major contracts. This edition is also valuable for Boucher d'Argis's notes.
