2 vols. in-8, half ivory vellum, gilt title on olive morocco binding, bound with the monogram "JGG", cover preserved, (vol. I: spine slightly sunned, some pencil annotations), interior very fresh, good condition, XIV-364 / 324 p.
A rare complete set of two volumes of the Mélanges Georges Boyer, comprising two collections of the author's unpublished or unavailable writings. The first volume is preceded by a foreword by Paul Ourliac and a biography by Jean Dauvillier. The majority of the texts deal—quite obviously—with ancient Toulouse law. The second volume, rarer than the one devoted to writings on Western law, is introduced by Jean Nougayrol and Jean Dauvillier and focuses primarily on Old Babylonian and Babylonian law, with numerous studies, some of which remain unpublished, in Assyriology. Very rare.
