According to J.-M. Mousseron, "the essential objective of the thesis presented by Madame Lamboley was to demonstrate how the professional civil society, while allowing for the evolution of the liberal professions, was simultaneously capable of safeguarding the fundamental principles that must continue to govern these professions if they are to remain true to their mission. Conducting her study from the dual perspective of liberal activity and the liberal practice, she has, with regard to each of these two essential aspects of the profession, identified a number of ideas or adopted certain positions that very often align with the major options taken [in particular] by the notarial profession."
