“At the end of his preface, which reads like a manifesto, Dean Philippe Malaurie writes: ‘Mr. Christianos comes to us from Greece; in a complex legal system, he has brought simple ideas… This is not so common.’ Probably due to their author’s origin, these simple ideas are enshrined in a veritable monument, which it is not an exaggeration to say presents itself as a blend of the three Greek orders. The Doric order is the one that immediately stands out, as it characterizes the author’s highly structured approach… The developments that support this plan are presented in a style reminiscent of the Ionic order… Since pluralism is inherent to legal sociology, choosing it simultaneously places one’s work under the banner of interdisciplinarity. The resulting richness allows us to evoke the third Greek order, the Corinthian…” The author should be thanked for having considered the obligation to inform from a broader perspective than that adopted by his predecessors.
