    An extremely rare copy of this commentary, presented here in its latest edition, by Ulrik Uber, professor of law at the University of Franeker, on volume III of the Corpus Juris Civilis. (Dupin no. 116 - with a cross-reference error). This is his major work, initially published in 1672 and revised until 1694, which earned him an international reputation as a specialist in Roman law. He is considered the greatest jurist from the Dutch province of Friesland ever known. It contains chapters on slavery, the voluntary renunciation of liberty, and more generally on criminal penalties. Not held by Cujas or the BNF (National Library of France).
