A truly fundamental work, Dupin (ref. 2326) summarizes the qualities of this text as follows: "It is the most extensive commentary yet published on the Code of Criminal Procedure." He also refers to the glowing review published in Le Moniteur on July 22, 1812. A fourth volume, which serves as a supplement, was published in 1835 and is not included here. Very rare and sought after.
