Chantagrel belongs to the lineage of "tutors" who preceded the establishment of an official curriculum in Administrative Law in 1862. His course consists primarily of an exhaustive analysis of administrative authorities from a positive perspective and a description of the "administrative matters" addressed by theme (alphabetical index). It is interesting to note that Chantagrel's work includes numerous practical elements often absent from contemporary summaries (Gandillot & Boileux, Guichon de Grandpont, Pezzani, Laffon de Ladebat, and Vauvilliers). His treatise is therefore intended more for administrators and lawyers than for students. Our second edition also contains a questionnaire and several particularly well-constructed summaries. A rare text.
