    Certainly the most important commentary on the Custom of Touraine, since it was the last to appear before the Revolution. "It is also one of the best, both from a historical and legal point of view, because the author has traced the different phases of the drafting and reform of this custom since 1461, before providing a scholarly and faithful study which seeks, contrary to contemporary trends followed in particular by Cottereau, to establish the law of his province over the solutions of the Custom of Paris and jurisprudence."
