This amusing and captivating edition of the Custom of Paris is a unique piece: amusing because of its unique form. Far from intending to publish it, the author began this work to "conquer boredom"! Friends, judging his work convincing and faithful to the original text, encouraged him to publish it. Captivating because it is based on the text of Castel's 1512/1513 edition. It was also this work that inspired Flacon-Rochelle's versification of the Civil Code thirty years later. This third and final edition remains extremely rare. It is missing from the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF), Berkeley, the Library of Congress, the National Library of France, etc. (Dupin, ref. 1267-10 for the 2nd ed.; BnF, ref. FRBNF33333056 for the 2nd ed.)
