The author clearly summarizes the spirit of his work in his introduction: "There is no way to fill the gaps in the Code regarding natural filiation by applying, by analogy, the texts relating to the filiation of legitimate children. Analogical argumentation is, in fact, only admissible under one condition: the subject matter one wishes to supplement must be governed by the same principles as that from which the borrowing is made. However, this is not the case for legitimate and natural filiation, since the former is deemed favorable to public order, while the latter is considered a danger to the State."
