in-8, half-fawn calf, gilt title on garnet morocco paper, smooth spine decorated with blind and gilt fillets and gilt rolls, (upper headcap torn for 4 cm, joints split), fresh interior, [This work comes from the Catholic Institute of Paris, it may bear library marks on the cover and/or inside], XVI-820 p.
The first edition of this rare text (1838) was the first treatise on the subject (predating Renouard's work) and had the merit of predating the 1844 law that profoundly altered the patent system. This latest edition, equally rare, takes into account the evolution of legal doctrine and case law after that law and remains one of the most important texts of the mid-19th century.
