    4 vols. in-4, contemporary black half-leather, gilt titles & volumes on smooth spines decorated with blind tools, triple gilt fillets and friezes, (headcaps rubbed and worn, joints slightly marked and edge split on the first few cm.), fine binding.
    “Most of this Dictionary is extracted, either verbatim or through analysis, from the Jurisprudence of the Kingdom (alphabetical and periodical collections)” (Excerpt from the introduction). But it is also, in reality, the first edition of what would later appear under the title Dalloz Methodical and Alphabetical Repertory of Legislation and Jurisprudence (the “JurGen”). This edition also refers to the collection preceding the chronological Dalloz jurisprudence, La Jurisprudence générale du Royaume, published from 1824 to 1830. This collection is particularly well-written, very dense and comprehensive (more than 11 pages devoted to Administrative Jurisdiction, nearly 30 pages to Negotiable Instruments), and practical due to the systematic adoption of an outline and a table of cross-references for each entry. It also includes a chronological table of all the dates of decrees, laws, ordinances, and decisions from 1790 to 1834! Our copy is presented here in a very fine binding, rare for this type of text.
