in-8, half-fawn calfskin Louis-Philippe style, gilt titles on richly ornamented smooth spine, speckled edges, [This work comes from the library of the Solicitors near the Court of Appeal of Paris, it may be stamped with the arms of the Chamber of Solicitors and bear library marks], [4 ff.]-540 p.
This work is very useful on this subject, compiling all the reports, explanatory statements, and discussions of the text of the important 1858 law, followed by a very meticulous commentary. Dramard (no. 83) points out that the editors include Seligman's commentary as part of Marcadé's treatise, even though it has no connection whatsoever with the Civil Code. In fact, it is a study of enforcement procedures, particularly those involving the seizure of real estate.
