Mayor of Cremona, he was appointed by King Philip II of Spain to head the Supreme Council of Italy in Madrid. This edition collects all of the author's work in both civil and criminal law. The civil law section (Books III and IV of Receptae sententiae) comprises four treatises: wills, donations, leases, and fiefs. The last, the famous criminalis stages (Book V of Receptae sententiae), represents Claro's true masterpiece, in which he addresses all the principal cases in the world of criminal law (274 pages). It is thanks to this chapter that the author is often considered one of the greatest specialists in criminal law, far superior to Rousseau de la Combe, Muyard de Vouglans, and Jousse. As for the edition, it seems that we have the first one (Dupin, ref. 1789 for the Frankfurt editions in 1613 and 1636, Geneva in 1637, 1666 and 1739).\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Mémoire du Droit","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51963308540251,"sku":"34184","price":800.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0941\/0163\/5419\/files\/34184-1.jpg?v=1766932884","url":"https:\/\/www.memoiredudroit.fr\/en\/products\/34184-clarus-julii-clari-patritii-alexandrini","provider":"La Mémoire du Droit","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
