    5 vols. in-8, blue half-leather, tot. and tom. gilt on smooth spine decorated with gilt lace and fillets as well as cold decoration, speckled edges, (headcaps slightly worn, some dampstains and spots).
    A very rare copy of the second edition of Aubry and Rau's treatise, which is still described as a translation of Zachariae's work, even though it is known to have contained substantial additional material from the time. The work was published simultaneously in Strasbourg, Paris, and Brussels. In this edition, the text still bears the mark of its German origins, not only in content but also in form, as it begins with a very substantial historical introduction and a bibliography typical of Germanic doctrine.
