    folio, full fawn calfskin, gilt title on burgundy morocco paper, spine with 6 raised bands decorated with gilt tools and compartments with triple fillets framing and gilt fleurons, red edge, tailpiece, headbands and initials, printed in several typefaces and often in double column, (heavy abrasions, faded gilt on several compartments, headcap damaged), very fresh interior, [4 ff.]-600 p.
    Originally considered a simple compilation, these Decisions became, according to Bernaudau, “the most consulted repertoire of local jurisprudence at the time,” to the point that six successive editions appeared in Toulouse in 1689 and in Bordeaux until 1807. The foreword to the present edition explains in a few words the tone of this text: “This author recognized that it was more useful [...] to give a prompt and succinct resolution [...]. This singular style in which he wrote should not be so unusual, since the Decisions of the Court, being nothing other than maxims, must imitate the Laws, whose style must be positive and concise.” Last edition, 18th century.
