    (Dupin No. 990). Ricard's treatise on wills has always been considered the best work on the subject. His treatise on the revocation of gifts by the birth or arrival of children is particularly interesting for its study of the legal regime of natural and legitimized children. It also contains some curiosities: "whether a child born after a cesarean section can revoke a gift made by its father before its birth," and "whether a monstrous newborn enjoys the privilege... to revoke a gift." The work concludes with a general overview of, on the one hand, the customs of Amiens and local customs, with notes by Dumoulin, and on the other hand, the custom of Senlis. It offers the most comprehensive analysis of these two customs.
