Brunnemann was a professor of law from Frankfurt (on the Oder), born in 1608 and died in 1672, whose various commentaries on Justinian's Institutes opposed the doctrine, widely held at the time, of Benedict Carpzou and other Saxon jurists. For this reason, he was the subject of virulent criticism and rather lively literary debates. However, the commentary on the Code that we possess is, so to speak, an exception to this general characteristic of Brunnemann's writings: indeed, published for the first time in 1663, it quickly became an authoritative work.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Mémoire du Droit","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51963165180251,"sku":"28954","price":1000.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0941\/0163\/5419\/files\/28954-1.jpg?v=1766930123","url":"https:\/\/www.memoiredudroit.fr\/en\/products\/28954-brunnemann-johannis-brunnemanni-jcti-commentarius","provider":"La Mémoire du Droit","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
