Flaust, a lawyer at the Court of Aids, "devoted fifty years of his life to writing an Explanation of the Custom and Jurisprudence of Normandy in a simple and accessible order. The commentary does not simply list the articles one after another but offers a truly methodical synthesis of Norman law." (V. Lemonnier-Lesage). Dupin, ref. 1263-23.
