    A truly legendary work, it was condemned by a decree of the Parliament of Toulouse the year of its publication. This explains why the second and final edition, from 1621, was published in Geneva. In *Les recueils d'arrêts et dictionnaires de jurisprudence* (ed. La Mémoire du Droit, Paris 2005), Le Marc'Hadour explains that, in the 17th century, the only authoritative reference collections were those of La Roche-Flavin and Papon. They continued to be cited in the 18th century, notably by Lebrun de la Rochette, Despeisses, Lange, and Bruneau. On the Toulouse-based arrestographers, see J. Poumarède (ibid.).
