    This is actually a collection of V.'s dissertations, his principal legal opinions, studies devoted to legislative questions, and reports and speeches delivered as a representative of the people at the National Assemblies of 1848 and 1849. The work is divided into two parts, reflecting the very nature of his writings: the first volume is devoted to dissertations on civil law, tax law, and the history of law, arranged chronologically; this is the most important collection of the author's thought and could stand alone. The second volume consists of the legal opinions. This collection is further supplemented by a biographical sketch of the author, as well as a bibliography of his works. Exceptional and very rare.
